A quick and easy Balsamic Baked Chicken Breast that is packed with flavor, featuring a sweet and tangy marinade.

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh basil leaves (for garnish – optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the marinade by whisking together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Marinate the chicken breasts in a baking dish, pouring the marinade over them and ensuring they’re well-coated.
  4. Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  5. Let the chicken rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.
  6. Serve the chicken whole or sliced, drizzling with leftover marinade sauce.

Notes

For added flavor, consider topping with fresh mozzarella and tomatoes during the last minutes of baking.
