  • 2 teaspoons flaky sea salt (like Maldon)
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons dried edible flowers
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ¼ cup fresh mint (½ chiffonade, ½ leaves)
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1 sprig fresh basil, scattered
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • small red onion, sliced thin
  • 2 tablespoons chili d’arbol oil
  • ½ cup roasted garlic cloves
  • 3 sprigs rosemary, toasted
  • Fresh cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 5 large figs, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ cup fresh mint leaves (½ chiffonade, ½ whole)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Butter: Take your unsalted butter out of the fridge to soften if you haven’t already.
  2. Whip with Flavor: In a large bowl, add your softened butter, flaky sea salt, lemon zest, honey, ground coriander, and ground cardamom. Whip until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Incorporate the Garlic: Gently fold in the roasted garlic cloves, fresh herbs, and finely chopped red onions.
  4. Create the Canvas: Spread the buttery mixture onto a large platter or wooden board, aiming for an even layer.
  5. Dress It Up: Drizzle with chili d’arbol oil, then scatter the edible flowers, fresh mint leaves, and remaining herbs.
  6. Finish with Crunch: Season with fresh cracked black pepper and more flaky sea salt.
  7. Serve: Pair with crusty bread, toasts, or crackers for dipping.
