Cottage Cheese Chicken Parm Bowl

A flavorful and nutritious twist on traditional chicken parmesan featuring cottage cheese for a lighter touch.

Ingredients

  • Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts (1 lb)
  • All-Purpose Flour (1 cup)
  • Eggs (2 large)
  • Panko Bread Crumbs (1 cup)
  • Cottage Cheese (1 cup)
  • Marinara Sauce (1 ½ cups)
  • Shredded Parmesan Cheese (½ cup)
  • Chopped Fresh Basil (1/4 cup)
  • Olive Oil (2 tablespoons)
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the chicken breasts in half horizontally.
  2. Set up your dipping stations with flour, whisked eggs, and panko mixed with olive oil.
  3. Coat the chicken by dredging in flour, dipping in eggs, and coating with panko.
  4. Sear the chicken in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown, about 3–4 minutes per side.
  5. Add marinara sauce over the chicken, then top with parmesan and cottage cheese.
  6. Bake in the oven for about 20–25 minutes until cooked through.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

This dish can be prepared ahead of time. Add your favorite spices to personalize it!
