  • 1/2 cup Feta Cheese
  • 1 medium Onion (finely chopped)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)

  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Zest
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs (or almond flour for gluten-free)
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 cup Tzatziki Sauce (fresh or store-bought)
  • 2 cups Fresh Vegetables (lettuce, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers)
  • 4 pieces Buns or Pita (whole grain or gluten-free)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, add ground chicken, chopped onion, minced garlic, feta, parsley (or dill), dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Zest and juice the lemon into the bowl.
  2. Add the Bindings: Mix in the breadcrumbs (or almond flour) and egg until just combined.
  3. Shape the Patties: Form the mixture into four equal burger patties, making an indentation in the center of each.
  4. Cook the Burgers: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat with olive oil. Cook patties for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and reaching an internal temperature of 165°F.
  5. Make the Tzatziki: Mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt.
  6. Prep the Veggies: Wash and slice lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers.
  7. Assemble Your Masterpiece: Spread tzatziki on the bottom bun, add the burger patty, top with veggies, and add more tzatziki before finishing with the top bun.
