Homemade Lavender Latte

A delightful lavender latte that captures the essence of spring, infused with floral notes and rich espresso.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon culinary lavender
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 shot espresso (or 1/2 cup of strong brewed coffee)
  • 12 tablespoons lavender syrup (to taste)
  • A pinch of vanilla extract
  • Honey or maple syrup, to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine water, sugar, and lavender in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Simmer the mixture, then remove from heat and let steep for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Strain the syrup into a container to remove lavender buds.
  4. Prepare your espresso or strong brewed coffee while the syrup steeps.
  5. Heat milk gently over low heat and froth.
  6. Mix brewed coffee with lavender syrup and vanilla extract.
  7. Top with frothed milk and garnish with honey or maple syrup.
