Ingredients

  • Pasta (your choice, fresh or dried)
  • Fresh peas (or frozen)
  • Burrata cheese
  • Lemon (zested and juiced)
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Fresh herbs (like basil or mint, optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta by filling a large pot with salted water and bringing it to a rolling boil. Add your pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
  2. Prepare the peas by shelling fresh ones or adding frozen peas directly to the cooking pasta during the last minute.
  3. Make the sauce in a large skillet by heating olive oil over medium heat and sautéing the cooked peas for just a minute.
  4. Combine everything by draining the pasta, reserving a cup of pasta water. Transfer the pasta into the skillet with the peas, adding lemon zest, juice, and pasta water.
  5. Plating the dish by serving immediately with torn burrata on top.
