Apple Cider Donuts

Fluffy and delicious homemade apple cider donuts, perfect for autumn and year-round enjoyment.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Coating: 1/2 cup granulated sugar mixed with 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Combine the apple cider, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract in another bowl.
  4. Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fill the donut pan with the batter, about 3/4 full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool for about 5 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack.
  8. Roll the warm donuts in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  9. Enjoy!

Serve warm for the best flavor. Optional: drizzle with icing or serve with fresh apple slices.
