Reese’s Peanut Butter Earthquake Cake

A rich chocolate cake filled with creamy peanut butter and topped with Reese’s candies for a decadent dessert experience.

  • 1 box Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water or milk
  • 8 oz full-fat Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 1 can (14 oz) Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 cup chopped mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
  • 1 cup chopped regular-sized Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
  • 1 cup Reese’s Pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the Cake Batter by combining the chocolate fudge cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water (or milk) in a large mixing bowl and whisk until smooth.
  3. Pour the Batter into the pan, spreading it evenly.
  4. Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture by beating the cream cheese and butter until fluffy, then mix in powdered sugar and peanut butter.
  5. Spread the Peanut Butter Mixture over the cake batter, swirling it slightly.
  6. Add Sweetened Condensed Milk, evenly covering the surface.
  7. Sprinkle the chopped Reese’s Cups and Pieces on top.
  8. Bake for about 35-40 minutes until set and slightly puffed.
  9. Cool the cake in the pan for 20-30 minutes before cutting.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra indulgent treat.
