Delicious and Crispy Brussels Sprout Fritters

Crispy, golden Brussels Sprout Fritters that are easy to make and packed with flavor.

  • 1 lb. Brussels sprouts, thinly sliced
  • 3 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 egg
  • 24 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prep the Brussels sprouts: Rinse under cold water, trim off any brown ends and slice them thinly.
  2. Mix the ingredients: In a large bowl, combine Brussels sprouts, green onions, sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and flour.
  3. Add the egg: Crack it into the mixture and fold it in gently until combined.
  4. Heat the pan: Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
  5. Form and fry: Shape small patties and place them gently into the hot oil.
  6. Cook until golden: Fry each side for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Drain excess oil: Transfer fritters to a paper towel-lined plate.
  8. Serve hot: Enjoy them warm, possibly with a dip!

Notes

Pairs well with lemon-herb yogurt or spicy sriracha mayo. You can also incorporate different flavors like cheese or herbs.
