2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp Cajun seasoning
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
Salt & black pepper, to taste
12 oz penne pasta
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tsp Cajun seasoning (for flavor)
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Cook the Penne: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add penne, cook until al dente, about 10-12 minutes. Reserve 1 cup pasta water before draining.
Prepare the Steak Tips: Season steak tips with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
Sear the Steak: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, add steak in a single layer. Sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until desired doneness.
Sauté the Garlic: Reduce heat to medium, melt butter, add minced garlic, stir for 30 seconds.
Make the Creamy Sauce: Add heavy cream and whole milk, whisk in cream cheese, simmer for 3-4 minutes.
Incorporate the Cheeses: Stir in grated Parmesan and shredded mozzarella, adjust thickness with reserved pasta water if needed.
Combine Everything: Mix in penne and steak tips, sprinkle with Cajun seasoning.
Garnish and Serve: Transfer to a serving dish, top with chopped parsley.
