A refreshing Mexican drink made with cantaloupe, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 cups cantaloupe chunks (about 2 medium cantaloupes)
  • 3 cups filtered water

  • 5 tablespoons granulated sugar (or to taste)

  2. Blend the cantaloupe chunks, filtered water, and lime juice in a high-powered blender for 30-60 seconds until smooth.
  3. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth if you prefer a smoother drink (optional).
  4. Sweeten the mixture by adding sugar, starting with 5 tablespoons, and adjusting to taste.
  5. Chill the agua fresca in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or serve immediately over ice.
  6. Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves and serve cold.
