  • 2 teaspoons ground cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Juice of half a lemon

Instructions

  1. Prep the nectarines: Wash thoroughly, cut in half, remove the pit, and slice into wedges.
  2. Make the spice mixture: In a bowl, combine cardamom, ginger, and sugar.
  3. Prepare the nectarines: Toss sliced nectarines in the spice mixture and let sit for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Cook the nectarines: In a skillet, add nectarines, accumulated juices, and water. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Add acidity: Remove from heat and toss in lemon juice.
  6. Plate it up: Serve warm with syrup drizzled over, garnished with mint or whipped cream.
