Cherry Sorbet

A refreshing cherry sorbet that captures the essence of summer in every bite, perfect for enjoying on a sunny day.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen cherries, pitted
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cherries by washing them thoroughly, removing the pits, and slicing them in half if using fresh ones.
  2. Blend the pitted cherries, sugar, water, and lemon juice until smooth.
  3. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl (optional).
  4. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours.
  5. Churn the chilled mixture in an ice cream maker for 20-30 minutes, or pour into a shallow container to freeze, stirring every 30 minutes for about 2-3 hours.
  6. Serve! Scoop into bowls and enjoy, garnished with fresh mint if desired.

Notes

For variations, try cherry lime sorbet, spiced cherry sorbet, or add a splash of vodka for an adult twist.
