Homemade Coffee Ice Cream

A creamy and dreamy homemade coffee ice cream that’s perfect for coffee lovers and a delightful treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup espresso (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by brewing your coffee (and espresso if using). Allow it to cool while you gather your other ingredients.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar. Whisk until the sugar dissolves completely.
  3. Pour in the cooled brewed coffee and vanilla extract. Mix well until everything is evenly combined.
  4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or up to overnight) to let the flavors meld together.
  5. Once your mixture is chilled, pour it into your ice cream maker. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
  6. Using a spatula, transfer your ice cream into a freezer-safe container.
  7. Cover tightly and place it in the freezer. Let it chill for 4 to 6 hours, or until it’s set and scoopable.
  8. When you’re ready to dig in, let the ice cream sit out for a few minutes to soften before scooping.

Notes

For a delicious twist, consider adding chocolate syrup, nuts, or mint extract for different flavor variations. Homemade ice cream can last around 2-4 weeks stored in an airtight container in the freezer.
