  • 2 pounds of potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter for greasing the dish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare a large baking dish by greasing it with butter.
  3. Thinly slice the potatoes about 1/8-inch thick.
  4. Create the creamy mixture by whisking together the heavy cream, milk, half of the grated Parmesan, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  5. Layer the potato slices in the baking dish, overlapping slightly.
  6. Pour a portion of the creamy mixture over the potatoes. Repeat layering until all ingredients are used.
  7. Top with remaining cheeses—cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
  8. Bake covered with foil for 45 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 20-30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let the dish rest for 10-15 minutes before serving.
