Heavenly Homemade Peach Ice Cream

A creamy and refreshing homemade peach ice cream recipe that captures the sweet summertime flavor of fresh peaches.

  • 4 cups fresh or frozen peaches, diced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the peaches: Wash, peel, and dice fresh peaches, or thaw frozen peaches until soft but still chilly. Reserve some diced peaches to fold in later.
  2. Blend the base: In a blender, combine diced peaches, heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth.
  3. Taste test: Scoop a spoonful of the mixture to adjust sweetness or acidity as needed.
  4. Chill the mixture: Pour into a bowl, cover, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 120 minutes.
  5. Churn time: Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to instructions until soft-serve consistency is reached.
  6. Fold in the chunks: Gently stir in the reserved peach chunks.
  7. Freeze it up: Transfer to an airtight container, press parchment paper onto the surface, and freeze for at least 240 minutes or until firm.
  8. Serve and enjoy: Scoop into bowls or cones and savor each bite.

Notes

Use ripe peaches for the best flavor. Chill your base thoroughly for a creamier texture.
