Fried Goat Cheese

A simple yet elegant appetizer featuring warm, creamy goat cheese with a crisp, golden crust.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Goat Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Herbs (such as Thyme, Rosemary, or Parsley)
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • Olive Oil or Butter (for Pan-Searing)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Goat Cheese by cutting it into slices or shaping it into small rounds.
  2. Set Up Your Breading Station with flour, beaten egg, and panko breadcrumbs in three shallow bowls.
  3. Bread the Cheese by coating each slice in flour, dipping in egg, and rolling in panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat the Pan with olive oil or butter over medium heat.
  5. Fry the Cheese slices for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Drain and Cool on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  7. Drizzle with honey and garnish with freshly chopped herbs before serving.

Notes

Chill the goat cheese before breading to prevent leaking during frying. You can prepare the cheese ahead of time and fry just before serving.
