Grilled Pineapple

A sweet and smoky grilled pineapple recipe that brings summer flavors to your table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Fresh Pineapple
  • 1/4 Cup Butter, Melted
  • 1/4 Cup Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Dark Rum (Optional)
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • Pinch of Salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pineapple: Cut off the top and base of the pineapple. Stand it upright and slice off the skin, removing any “eyes.” Cut into rings about 1/2-inch thick.
  2. Make the Glaze: Combine melted butter, dark brown sugar, dark rum (if using), ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Preheat the Grill: Heat a gas grill to medium-high or prepare your charcoal grill until coals are hot.
  4. Brush the Pineapple: Coat both sides of pineapple rings with the glaze using a pastry brush.
  5. Grill Time: Place pineapple rings on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until caramelized.
  6. Finish and Let Rest: Remove from grill and let rest for a few moments for flavors to settle.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Serve with grilled meats or as a dessert with ice cream, or enjoy straight off the grill!
