Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 balls of burrata cheese
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1 lemon (zested and juiced)
  • 2 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • 1 French baguette or ciabatta
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the garlic toasts by slicing the baguette or ciabatta into ½-inch thick pieces, arrange them on a baking sheet, drizzle with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Toast the bread for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Mix the fresh basil leaves with the lemon zest, lemon juice, and minced garlic in a bowl, drizzling in the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and tossing to combine.
  5. Plate the burrata cheese in the center of a serving platter, spoon the basil-lemon mixture over it.
  6. Finalize with extra salt, pepper, and whole basil leaves.
  7. Serve with the garlic toasts arranged around the burrata.

Notes

Let burrata sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before serving for optimal texture. Consider adding cherry tomatoes or a balsamic glaze for extra flavor.
