Quick and Easy Beef Bulgogi

A Flavorful Journey in Your Kitchen with a quick and easy Beef Bulgogi, a comforting Korean classic brimming with bold flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 2 scallions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • 1 soft boiled egg, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Make sure everything is dissolved and well-combined.
  2. Marinate the Beef: Add the ground beef to the marinade, mixing it thoroughly. Let it sit for about 20-30 minutes at room temperature.
  3. Cook the Beef: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef along with all that flavorful sauce. Sauté until the beef is nicely browned and cooked through, about 7-10 minutes.
  4. Add Scallions: Just before finishing, toss in the chopped scallions and stir-fry for another minute.
  5. Serve it Up: Remove the skillet from heat and let your creation rest for a minute. Plate the bulgogi generously, top with sesame seeds and a soft-boiled egg cut in half.

Notes

Your Beef Bulgogi is best served with warm steamed rice or wrapped in crisp lettuce leaves. Add a side of kimchi for that classic Korean touch.
