Irresistible Cheese and Bacon Turnovers

Delicious turnovers filled with melty cheese and crispy bacon, perfect for brunch or a quick snack.

  • 6 Rashers of Bacon
  • 1 Sheet Puff Pastry
  • 130 grams of Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 Egg (Whisked)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Cook the bacon strips in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. Chop the bacon into small pieces.
  4. Grate your cheddar cheese.
  5. Roll out the sheet of puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  6. Cut the pastry into squares, about 10×10 cm (4×4 inches).
  7. Fill each pastry with the bacon and cheese mixture.
  8. Fold the pastry over to create a pocket and seal the edges.
  9. Brush each turnover with the whisked egg.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

These turnovers can be customized with different fillings like spinach and feta or BBQ chicken.
