French Dip Sliders

These French dip sliders are a cozy comfort food, featuring savory roast beef, caramelized onions, and melted Swiss cheese, all in warm buttery buns, perfect for dipping in rich au jus.

Ingredients

  • Slider Buns
  • Roast Beef
  • Caramelized Onions
  • Swiss Cheese
  • Au Jus (beef broth)
  • Butter
  • Garlic Powder
  • Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. Caramelize the onions by slicing them thinly, melting butter in a skillet, and cooking the onions gently until they turn golden-brown (15-20 minutes).
  2. Prepare the au jus by combining beef broth, garlic powder, and black pepper in a saucepan and simmering over medium heat.
  3. Build the sliders by preheating the oven, slicing the slider buns, layering roast beef, caramelized onions, and Swiss cheese.
  4. Add the top buns and brush with melted butter mixed with garlic powder.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes covered with foil, then uncover and bake for another 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and tops are golden brown.
  6. Serve warm with au jus on the side for dipping.

Notes

These sliders can be made ahead of time. Prepare the caramelized onions and the beef, then assemble shortly before baking for the freshest taste. Serve with sweet potato fries or a salad.
