Parmesan Baked Tomatoes

Juicy vine-ripened tomatoes topped with a golden, crunchy layer of rich Parmesan cheese, baked to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 6 small tomatoes (halved)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Ground black pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare your tomatoes: halve the tomatoes and place them cut-side up on a baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle the olive oil evenly over the tomatoes.
  4. Sprinkle with salt and pepper on top of each tomato.
  5. Top with Parmesan cheese, spreading an even layer over each tomato half.
  6. Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Cool for a couple of minutes before serving warm.

Notes

For variations, try mixing in fresh herbs, adding breadcrumbs for texture, or using different cheeses.
