Delicious, festive chocolate chip cookies loaded with sprinkles and candy eyes for a playful Halloween treat.

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar (67 g)
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar (100 g)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled, 186 g)
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1/23/4 cup Halloween sprinkles
  • Candy eyes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt the Butter: In a medium bowl, melt your 1/2 cup of unsalted butter.
  3. Mix Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, 1/3 cup granulated sugar, and 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Add Egg and Vanilla: Crack in your egg and add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Whisk until fully combined.
  5. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the salt, baking soda, and all-purpose flour. Gradually add this to your wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in Chocolate Chips and Sprinkles: Gently fold in the chocolate chips and Halloween sprinkles.
  7. Scoop and Shape: Drop dollops of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  8. Add Candy Eyes: Press candy eyes into the top of each cookie dough mound.
  9. Bake: Slide the cookies into the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  10. Cool and Enjoy: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.
