  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the salmon: Pat your salmon fillets dry with paper towels and lightly season with salt and black pepper.
  2. Make the glaze: Whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice, and a dash of salt and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Heat the skillet: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and add a tablespoon of butter to the pan.
  4. Cook the salmon: Place salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down, and cook for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Flip gently and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add the glaze: Pour the honey garlic mixture over the salmon and allow it to simmer for an additional minute.
  6. Garnish and serve: Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley and sesame seeds.
  7. Plating: Serve over rice or alongside fresh veggies, allowing the glaze to dribble down onto sides.

Notes

Feel free to swap out salmon for trout or chicken thighs. You can also mix in fresh herbs for extra flavor.
