  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the bananas with a fork in a mixing bowl.
  3. Mix in the melted butter and sugar until well blended.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and combine.
  5. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients, folding gently to mix.
  7. Add the chocolate chips if using.
  8. Prepare a 9×9 inch baking pan by greasing it or lining with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
