4th of July Chex Mix

A festive, crunchy Chex Mix perfect for celebrating Independence Day with friends and family.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Chex cereal (Rice, Corn, or Wheat)
  • 2 cups pretzels (regular, honey, or gluten-free)
  • 2 cups popcorn (lightly salted or buttered)
  • 1 cup red, white, and blue chocolate candies (such as M&Ms)
  • 1/2 cup butter (salted or unsalted)
  • 1 tablespoon seasoned salt
  • Optional: sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C).
  2. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
  3. Combine the Chex cereal, pretzels, and popcorn in an extra-large mixing bowl.
  4. Pour the melted butter over the mixture, stirring continuously.
  5. Seasoning comes next; sprinkle in the seasoned salt and mix well.
  6. Spread the mixture on a lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake for about 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
  8. Add the candy once cooled and gently fold it in.
  9. Serve in a festive bowl or containers with optional sprinkles on top.

Notes

This Chex Mix can be made ahead of time and stored in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
