A comforting Plum Crisp with juicy, tart plums beneath a golden, crunchy topping, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups tart plums, pitted and sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the plums with granulated sugar and lemon juice in a bowl.
  3. Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes.
  4. In another bowl, mix flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Add the softened butter and blend until resembling coarse crumbs.
  6. Grease a baking dish and pour in the plum mixture.
  7. Sprinkle the crumb topping over the plums.
  8. Bake for 35-45 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
  9. Cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for a delicious treat. Can be prepared in advance and reheated.
