Fluffy Air Fryer Churro Bites

Delicious and fluffy churro bites made in an air fryer, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar for coating
  • Oil spray for air frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the water, butter, sugar, and salt. Stir until the butter melts and the mixture begins to bubble.
  2. Mix in the dry ingredients: Stir in the flour and baking powder using a wooden spoon until it forms a cohesive ball.
  3. Knead the dough: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead it gently until it holds together.
  4. Shape the bites: Pinch off small pieces of dough and roll them into bite-sized balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  5. Air fry: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C), then place a batch of churro bites in the fryer basket and spray them lightly with oil.
  6. Cook to perfection: Air fry the churro bites for about 10-12 minutes, or until they turn golden brown.
  7. Coat with sugar and cinnamon: In a separate bowl, mix the 1/4 cup of sugar with cinnamon and roll the warm churro bites in the mixture.
