Refreshing Raspberry Iced Tea

A delightful summer beverage featuring the sweet-tart flavor of ripe raspberries combined with refreshing iced tea.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh raspberries
  • 2 tea bags (black or green tea)
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Raspberry Puree: In a medium bowl, add your fresh raspberries and use a fork or muddler to mash them until you have about a cup of raspberry puree.
  2. Brew the Tea: In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil. Remove from heat, add tea bags, and steep for 5–7 minutes.
  3. Sweeten the Deal: Remove tea bags and stir in sugar until dissolved while the tea is still warm.
  4. Combine and Chill: Add raspberry puree to sweetened tea and mix well. Let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  5. Serve It Up: Fill glasses with ice and pour raspberry tea over. Garnish with fresh mint.

Notes

For a lighter sweetness, consider using honey or agave syrup. If you’re looking for variations, try adding lemon juice or using different berries.
