Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake

A deliciously easy dessert that combines the flavors of strawberries and cheesecake in a simple dump cake.

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (sliced)
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the baking dish: Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  3. Slice the strawberries: Slice about 2 cups of fresh strawberries and set them aside.
  4. Mix the cream cheese: Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the sugar and vanilla, mixing until combined.
  5. Spread the cheesecake layer: Pour the cream cheese mixture into the greased baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Add the strawberries: Scatter the sliced strawberries over the cream cheese layer.
  7. Prepare the cake mix: Combine the yellow cake mix with melted butter, milk, and salt in a separate bowl.
  8. Dump the cake batter: Pour the cake batter over the strawberries and cream cheese mixture.
  9. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Cool and serve: Allow to cool at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with a dusting of powdered sugar and a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
