Strawberry Tiramisu

A delightful fruity twist on the classic Italian tiramisu, featuring fresh strawberries and creamy mascarpone.

  • 14 ounces ladyfingers
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • ¾ cup orange liqueur (divided: ½ cup and ¼ cup)
  • 16 ounces mascarpone (room temperature)
  • 16 ounces heavy whipping cream (chilled)
  • ⅓ cup powdered sugar (sifted)
  • 13 ounces strawberry preserve
  • 32 ounces strawberries (hulled and sliced)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberry Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the sliced strawberries with strawberry preserve. Toss them gently and set aside.
  2. Make the Cream Mixture: In another bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese and ½ cup of orange liqueur; blend until smooth.
  3. Whip the Cream: In a chilled bowl, beat heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  4. Combine the Mixture: Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
  5. Prepare the Ladyfingers: Soak ladyfingers in a mixture of orange juice and ¼ cup of orange liqueur for a couple of seconds.
  6. Layer it Up: Create layers in your serving dish with soaked ladyfingers, cream mixture, and strawberry mixture, repeating until ingredients are used up.
  7. Chill and Set: Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, ideally overnight.

Notes

Garnish with sliced strawberries or a dusting of cocoa powder before serving for added elegance.
