  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ tablespoon unsalted butter (per fillet)
  • 1 fresh lemon
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or greasing it.
  3. Mix together the olive oil, lemon juice, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne in a small bowl.
  4. Prep the salmon fillets by placing them skin-side down on the baking sheet and brushing the marinade over each.
