  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar (for crumb topping)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder (for crumb topping)
  • 6 tablespoons Butter, melted (for crumb topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the Baking Dish: Grease a 9×13-inch pan with butter or nonstick spray.
  3. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine your melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Blend Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Combine: Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, folding gently.
  6. Add Cherries: Gently fold in half a cup of the cherries.
  7. Pour Batter into Pan: Transfer your batter into the prepared baking dish.
  8. Prepare the Crumb Topping: In a separate bowl, mix together brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and baking powder, then add melted butter.
  9. Top with Crumb and More Cherries: Sprinkle the crumb mixture over the batter, adding additional cherries on top.
  10. Bake!: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Let it Cool: Cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
