Ingredients

  • Cod or Tilapia Fillets
  • Olive Oil
  • Chili Powder
  • Cumin
  • Garlic Powder
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Cabbage Slaw
  • Avocado
  • Lime
  • Fresh Cilantro (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep Your Fish: Start by rinsing your cod or tilapia fillets under cold water. Pat dry with paper towels. Preheat your skillet over medium-high heat and drizzle with olive oil.
  2. Season the Fillets: In a small bowl, combine chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle it generously over both sides of the fillets.
  3. Cook the Fish: Place your seasoned fillets in the hot skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the fish flakes easily.
  4. Make the Cabbage Slaw: Toss your cabbage slaw in a bowl with lime juice, olive oil, and salt to taste.
  5. Slice the Avocado: Cut your avocado in half, remove the pit, and slice it up.
  6. Assemble Your Bowls: Start with a base of cabbage slaw, flake the cooked fish on top, then add avocado slices.
  7. Garnish: Finish with fresh cilantro and a squeeze of lime.
  8. Enjoy: Dig in and relish the flavors!
